Put the names of all 50 states in a bag and draw state names until a student gets BINGO. Then, in each square in the columns, have them write the name of, or draw an outline of, a different state in that region.
Have students label each column on their BINGO cards with one of the five U.S. Provide each student with a printed blank BINGO card. You might have students explore the Five U.S. Lesson Plan: Briefly teach or review the five regions of the United States and the states in those regions. The first person with a completed card wins. Have the students get the signature of a person who meets the criteria for each block. In all the other spaces, write things such as 'Born in another state' or 'Youngest child in family.' Fill in all the grids with items of interest to the students.
